DUAL PASSPORT HOLDERS
South African citizens must leave and enter South Africa on a South African passport. South African citizens who only hold a foreign passport must apply for a South African passport. Dual-passport holders must produce both their South African and foreign passports at airline check-in as proof that they do not need a visa (provided they are travelling to a country which exempts them from needing a visa). The South African passport must then be produced when going through Immigration, where it will be stamped. South African citizens may freely use a foreign passport outside the country. Upon return to South Africa the South African passport must be produced at Immigration.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR PASSPORT IS VALID UP UNTIL AT LEAST 19 JANUARY 2024
Ensure you have signed your passport in the applicable area and have provided the necessary contact information required. Your passport should contain at least two full empty pages.
